How to Set Up Notifications

When you first download The Texan’s app, you’ll be prompted to allow notifications. Follow the prompt to receive alerts when new stories are published.

Does the app cost extra? Nope! Anyone can download the app for free. However, non-subscribers will need a subscription to The Texan after downloading the app to access our content. Current subscribers will simply enter their existing login info once the app is downloaded. Keep reading and we’ll walk you through the process.

I'm already a subscriber; how do I log in? Once the app is downloaded, you'll be prompted to log in or subscribe. As a subscriber, you’ll simply enter your existing log in info for The Texan. That’s it, you now have access to our content via the app.

Can I purchase a subscription in the app? Yes. After downloading the app, you can then purchase a subscription to The Texan for as little as $9.99/month. Subscriptions purchased in the app can also be canceled at any time through your device.

How do I set up notifications? After downloading the app, you'll be asked to receive notifications for our breaking news articles and other content. Follow these prompts to allow or decline one or more. Receiving push notifications for both allows you to know the latest Texas political news the minute it happens!
